POSH Policy
v1·Effective from 2025-01-01Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Policy
Last updated: 20 May 2026
LevelUp IAS is committed to providing a safe, dignified, and harassment-free environment for every student, employee, faculty member, vendor, and visitor at our centres and online platforms.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to all employees, students, contractors, faculty, visitors, and any third party engaged with LevelUp IAS, in any centre, virtual classroom, or online forum we operate.
2. Definition
Sexual harassment includes any unwelcome act or behaviour (whether directly or by implication) including:
- physical contact and advances;
- a demand or request for sexual favours;
- making sexually coloured remarks;
- showing pornography;
- any other unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature.
This definition aligns with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. Our protections apply to people of all genders.
3. Internal Committee (IC)
We have constituted an Internal Committee per Section 4 of the Act with at least:
- A Presiding Officer (a senior woman employee)
- At least two members from amongst employees, preferably committed to women's causes
- One external member from a recognised NGO or with experience in this domain
The IC's composition is reviewed every two years. The current IC contact is posh@levelupias.com.
4. How to report
You may report in any of the following ways:
- Email posh@levelupias.com (preferred; reaches the IC directly)
- Written complaint to the IC at the Karol Bagh centre (envelope marked "POSH — Confidential")
- Speak to any IC member you are comfortable with
You may file a complaint within 3 months of the incident, extendable by another 3 months on reasonable grounds.
5. Investigation
5.1 The IC will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and complete its inquiry within 90 days. 5.2 The IC will provide its report within 10 days of completion. 5.3 Throughout the process, identities and proceedings will be kept strictly confidential.
6. Interim relief
The IC may recommend interim measures such as separating the parties, suspending the respondent, or transferring either party to ensure the complainant is not retaliated against during the inquiry.
7. Action against false complaint
A complaint filed in bad faith with malicious intent may attract disciplinary action against the complainant. Inability to substantiate a complaint is not, by itself, evidence of bad faith.
8. No retaliation
Any retaliation against a complainant or witness is itself a violation of this Policy and will be acted on with the same seriousness.
9. Awareness
We conduct mandatory POSH awareness sessions for all employees at least annually, and at induction for new joiners.
